Who We Are

 Laura Lear is a highly experienced appraiser, auction house expert, and retail professional with over two decades in the industry. She began her career with the retail store FORM 20 in Silverlake, California, where she gained a reputation for high-quality modern design items and attracted renowned interior designers like Kelly Wearstler. 

Laura later moved to New York City, where she managed Donzella 20th Century Gallery. There, she successfully sold an extensive art and design collection through prestigious auction houses, including Sotheby's, Christie's, and Phillips de Pury. She then founded Lear's 20th Century Design, a high-end showroom in Manhattan and Los Angeles, becoming a trusted source for interior designers, architects, and high-net-worth clients worldwide.

Her expertise extends to 20th-century art and design, antique auctions, business liquidations, general merchandise, and estate auctions. Laura received certification in auctioneering, auction sales management, and personal property appraisals from the Missouri Auction School.
